I found myself whimpering this question one night as I cried myself to sleep! Why must I go through the pain?

My Pain:

I found myself whimpering this question one night as I cried myself to sleep! Why? The pain was unbearable- I had so many questions? Why must I go through this pain- why? It’s too much… I can’t take it anymore…. then suddenly, I felt a resolve rising in me, more like a resounding peace – a stillness in the quiet of the night.

My tears had reached a breaking point and I could finally see through them. I sat at my computer and began to look for comforting words from a woman who gave her life in an unselfish way to others- Mother Teresa~

Point:

As our relationship deepens with the Lord, so will our trust in his timing, in his purpose and in his direction.

Scripture Reference

Romans chapter 9

This chapter illustrates God’s sovereignty:

1. In Verse 13- God says, Jacob have I loved, and Esau have I hated.

2. In verse 15- God says, I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy.

3. In verse 17- God says, Pharaoh was raised up to show God’s glory.

4. In verse 21- God says, He makes one vessel unto honor and one unto dishonor.

5. In verse 25- God says, I will call them my people, which were not my people.

God is basically saying, I’m SOVEREIGN.

His question: Does that offend you?

His solution: Whosoever believes on me, shall not be ashamed.

In other words, “I know what I’m doing, and I do whatever I want! Trust in me and you won’t be ashamed!!

Prayer

Lord open our hearts to understand your sovereignty. Open our minds to the totality of your existence. Lord we yield our why’s to you as we surrender our hearts to the process. May we trust in your word that all things are working together for out good for those called to your purpose.

God your SOVEREIGN!

Welcome to Dr. Camp's Blog. The topic today is centered around giving and the bearing fruit. The hope is that you will grasp the concept of giving and being a blessing.

2 Corinthians 9:5-10

You must decide in your heart how much to give. And don't give reluctantly or in response to pressure. “For God loves a person who gives cheerfully".

When we give we should give willingly not grudgingly!

Remember this- a farmer who plants only a few seeds will get a small crop. But the one who plants generously will get a generous crop.

You must decide in your heart how much to give. And don't give reluctantly or in response to pressure. “For God loves a person who gives cheerfully.

Results:

And God will generously provide all you need. Then you will always have everything you need, and plenty left over to share with others.

For God is the one who provides seed for the farmer and then bread to eat. In the same way, he will provide and increase your resources and then produce a great harvest of generosity in you.

WAYS IN WHICH YOU CAN GIVE

We should give of our time, talent, abilities, money, and spiritual gift. For example:

-Church offering/ties (10%)

-Charity/Donation to a good cause

-Volunteering

-Helping someone in need

PRAYER

May we give out of a willing heart that we may share it with others!

Amen.

The old adage "Hard work brings success" is no longer true, if it even was

ROMANS 8

Romans 8:3 explains, "for what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh"

The Law is a schoolmaster: Galatians 3: 24-25

What is a schoolmaster?

It refers to one who was entrusted with the supervision of a family, taking them to and from school, being responsible for their safety and manners. Hence, the schoolmaster was stern and severe in his discipline. (biblestudytools.com)

Hence, the law is a school master to us, to prepare us for faith in Christ by producing convictions of guilt and helplessness!

In other words, Christ (Emmanuel-God with us Matt 1:23) came in our likeness, but without our sin nature-to condemn or to judge sin through his death (and resurrection) on the cross, so we can live a life of righteousness through faith in him and the empowerment of his Spirit.
